Its doesn’t matter how old we are when we lose a parent - it is a loss that changes us at our core. I have lost both of my parents in very different ways and at different points of my life. This loss takes away our safe space, our roots, a soft place to land - but it also removes any conversation, opportunity to process their decisions or better understand who they are.
